Ikon Midstream has the ability to deal exclusively in refined petroleum product produced in the United States. Raw products are purchased from the refinery and supplied through the pipeline to the terminal. Once products are blended they are tested and ready for sale in the U.S. or for exportation.
1. Our main product line is blended fuels such as gasoline and diesel fuel. Once we have blended the products to meet government specs. They are then loaded on fuel trucks and sold in the market place.
2. We also have the ability to supply jet fuel to the George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) airport, the largest airport in Houston.
3. We have the ability to manufacture and sell products throughout the market.
In order to differentiate our gasoline and diesel products, from our competitors, we have the ability to blend at a higher spec than required and sell at a better price then our competitors. It is through the collaboration with our raw product suppliers that we have the ability to provide these services. In addition, with the location of Houston terminal, we have the ability to provide better pick up point of fuel for the every growing North side of Houston and are the only non-branded supplier in the area. This advantage further eliminates overhead on the clients through their own fuel consumption as well as drive time by their employees so they can move more loads through the day.
There are approximately five local competitors who offer a product similar to ours. However, our research increasing storage capacity indicates we have the ability to become one of the top two, in terms of quantity and supplier. We strive to compete with the advantage of established distribution channels and reputation. In addition, improvements to our marketing efforts will further separate us from the large market and from our close competitors.
